Trend Board- Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton was the person who I chose for my Trend Board.
The reason is with all the Royal Wedding coming very soon she has become one of the most followed woman these days, everyone is talking about what is she wearing, how is she wearing it.
We have notice that Kate has a very simple but at the same time her sophisticated way of dressing will in come way influence the fashion industry.Everything that she wears is sold in minutes, just like the dress she wore for her engagement announcement, or the thousands of replicas that are out there.

The Trends

  • The trend where Kate is usually seen is the Wrapping Gown for special event she attends looking very stylish and elegant.
  • The next trend is the regular Wrapping Dress which I think is going to bring popularity to DVF! who doesn't love the wrap dress giving every women a good looking figure!
  • The last trend I see coming is the Hats!, Kate is not afraid to use this beautiful hat whenever she has an opportunity is a great accessories that we have had forgotten for a long time but it bring a very feminine and elegant touch for spring!

I believe I found the one!!

I've been searching all day for Designers and Creative Director and I think I just founf both in one, and I can't stop seeing his work.

Im talking about NICOLA FORMICHETTI

He is unbelievable!
He is the Creative Director of MUGLER
The Fashion Director for  LADY GAGA
The Fashion Director of VOGUE HOMMES JAPAN
And the Fashion Director of UNIQLO
He has worked for magazines such as Dazed &Confused, V, Another Magazine, Arena Homme, and Harper's Bazaar USA. and with very well known Photographers such as Mario Testino, Nick Knight, Mariano Vivanco, Simon Procter just to mention some..
He is half Italian, half Japanese and since he was young has studied street fashion and developed a unique, extravagant, and out of this world style and creativity that is shown everywhere he participates in, from fashion shows, magazines, music videos etc.
After seen his work definitely grow a big inspiration and I cant stop looking at his work, he is amazing in everything he does.

The las Fashion Show for Fall 2011 is unreal!! Love the models coming from between the arches, coordinated with the music, the idea of Lady Gaga as a vampire making her appearances every now and then is awesome, the clothes are unbelievable sexy with black, blue, green and skin tone giving a leather appearance, a see through and creating plastic forms gives the image of a strong but sexy woman appearance most women aspire to be. I definitely can't stop watching it so far I think this collection and this show has been my favourite =D

Denis Gagnon

Graduated from LaSalle College in Montreal
I found out he is one of the best very well known Fashion Designers in Canada whose creations have often been compared to  works of art.
He is very well known for using leather in his garments, with a monochromatic and minimalist style.
As an Artist he has been invited to participate in an exposition last year at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to do a collaboration with the Architect Gilles Saucier.
In one interview he express why this collaboration with Gilles Saucier was so important to him, and he said.
"I’d been wanting to meet Gilles Saucier and work with him for a long time. I’d seen his work at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, at Usine C and at McGill University’s Faculty of Music,”

. “I love the pared-down look of his art: it’s at once very classic and very modern. That is why I thought of him as the one to place my work in the right setting. And both of us love black – there are many colours in black."

For me after reading about Denis Gagnon he is such a interesting Artist too look closely, who is always expressing his own concept of the way he sees life, objects, materials and has the ability to transform them into great special and original pieces worth to be in exhibition and to be follow.

Ricardo Tisci.. very interesting...

Designer Riccardo Tisci

So, yes, it seems current Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci will be taking over the reigns at Dior for the dramatically deposed John Galliano. Now, when the news broke last night through social media sites, some voiced their approval, some noted that the new head of design's aesthetic wasn't quite for them, and others—perhaps you—were left scratching their heads whispering to themselves, "Riccardo Whosci". So, if you need a primer on this young designer or just a refresher course on the man who is moving from one of fashion's most storied brands to another, here are ten things you probably didn't know about Riccardo Tisci.

10. While perhaps not the most traditional of Italian Catholics, Tisci is very tied to the religion and uses it in his work. About his fall '11 men's collection for Givenchy he said, "Religion is a big part of my DNA and this collection was about my Catholic(ism)."

9. Again, as a non-traditional Italian Catholic, he likes to blast Iron Maiden in the studio. Rock on!

8. This isn't the first time he's taken over a storied label once run by his fellow Central Saint Martin's alum John Galliano, who was himself the designer for a Givenchy for a brief, troubled period from 1995 to 1996.

7. Speaking of Givenchy, despite his eventual massive success there, he wasn't the label's first choice to replace departing creative director in 2005 when the mens' line, run by Alexander McQueen, and the womens' line, helmed by Julian McDonald, were placed into one studio. Though executives claim otherwise, it is widely acknowledged that Zac Posen, Sophia Kokosalaki, Giles Deacon, Richard Chai, Alber Elbaz, and Roland Mouret were all interviewed and offered the position before Tisci

6. Tisci has played the role of guest magazine editor twice, curating Visionaire's "Religion" issue, which is going on sale this june, and editing an issue of A Magazine in 2008.

5. Tisci is used to being in studios or backstages surrounded by with busy, bustling women thanks to being brought up in a Southern Italian home with eight sisters!

4. You might call his aesthetic "dark" or "gothy", but don't do it in front of him. He hates that. Go for "romantic" instead.

3. He's been noted for having downbeat runway shows and has more than once stated that he's not so sure the catwalk is the best place to see clothing. Wonder what that means for the next season of Dior couture?

2. Back when superstar transsexual model Lea T. was known as "Leo", he/she was also Tisci's personal assistant and fit model.

1. It's pronounced "Tishee," not "TEE-She," or "Tisk-ee." Get it right, people.
